Who we are
Research | Insight | Hope
The Colorectal Cancer Outcomes Research (CCOR) team is the missing link in colorectal cancer progress—helping research make a real difference in people’s lives. Led by Dr. Mary De Vera, who combines lived experience with research expertise, our team studies colorectal cancer directly and also shares important findings from around the world in clear, easy-to-understand ways.
Too often, discoveries stay hidden in medical journals or are filled with technical jargon. We break down those barriers by making research accessible, so patients, families, clinicians, and policymakers can use it to make better choices, improve care, and find hope.
Let’s change outcomes. Together.
Our Vision
By 2028, reach 100,000 patients and caregivers directly through Digest, video, and partner channels to easily access the knowledge they need, feel supported by a connected community, and see research translated into real improvements in care, quality of life, and survival.
Our Mission
CCOR is a patient-centered research and knowledge translation initiative that transforms colorectal cancer research into clear, actionable insights for patients, caregivers, clinicians, and decision-makers.
While significant advances in colorectal cancer research continue to emerge, much of this knowledge remains inaccessible to non-academic audiences due to technical complexity and limited dissemination pathways. CCOR addresses this gap through four core pillars:
